Common Name Grey Nickarbean, Sea Pearl
Habitat Notes Tropical Asia, Australia, Polynesiaand is now established in nearly eery tropical shore worldwide, including Floria, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, guam and American Samoa. Found in the crater of Rano Kao but rare. Intolerant of shade, usually grows in the open and in broken sunlight. Tolerates spray, salty soils and occasional flooding with seawater. (Found in the fossil pollen record of KAO3 in Rano Kao, Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Gossen, 2010)
