Search the APSA collection by morphology features
The search form below will search all the pollen and spore data held in the APSA collection by features such as morphology, shape or sample size. Please note that search terms you choose are effectively “and-ed” together, so that choosing “4-colpate” and “baculate” will find samples that have a 4-colpate morphology and a baculate surface pattern.
You can also add equatorial or polar size ranges to your search—please note that these sizes are always given in micrometres (µm).
Glossary
Definitions of terms used to describe pollen and spore morphology are derived from Punt et al. (2007): Punt, W., et. al. (2007) Glossary of pollen and spore terminology. Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology 143, 1–81.
