Habitat notes | Mangrove communities at the landward margins. May form scattered trees under a forest canopy or a dense zone of shrubs at the saline mangrove margin. Occurs as understorey in fringing riverside associations. Colonises consolidated muds or rock/mud substrates, particularly in areas not frequently inundated. Moth pollinated.(Wells, 1982). |
