Morphology notesPsilate/tectate. Columnellae visible. Exine thickness 1.5um. Three colpi more than 3/4 length of pollen. Colpus defined irregular and below exine. Strucutre square to oval shaped.

More common near low elevations along shorelines, wet areas, swamps, marshes,mangroves and rivers where there is a mean rainfall from 1500-4300mm (60-170 inches). Located in the fossil pollen record of the core KAO3 from Rano Kao, Rapa Nui(Easter Island)(Gossen, 2010)
