Habitat notesnaturalized from near sea level to about 900 m as a weed in cultivated areas and villages, along roadsides, on open hillsides among reeds and on edges of open ponds, and sometimes in forested areas (Smith, 1991). Native range: eastern and southern Asia and western Pacific. In Australia distribution includes NT, Qld and eastern states.
